Boy Pick-Up and The True Vine

How many of you knows Boy Pick-up, the latest “sensation” of this season? When he started throwing his “unkabogable” pick-up lines, the whole world “stops”. Why the world “stops”? Because his pick-up lines are the out-of-this-world kind, means it doesn’t connect to each other. Here’s one of his “famous” line:

Boy Pick-up: Bagay tayo.

Neneng B: Bakit?

BPU: Kasi ang lighter, kapag binato mo sa pader, sumasabog!

Then out of the silence, Boy Back-up will shout, “ANG BANGIS MO, PICK-UP!!” Then the whole crowd will rock.

Just imagine Boy Pick-up without Boy Back-up? Maybe the crowd already lynched him, or maybe he will never achieve the popularity, I don’t know.

Let us all relate this in our spiritual walk; without God, we are lost. Without God, our lives got more destructive. Without God, the Enemy overpower us and he can do all the destruction he wants in our life. I’d like to share this Scripture to you:

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; APART FROM ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING.

– John 15:5

Imagine Boy Pick-up without Boy Back-up? And imagine ourselves without Jesus Christ? Boy Pick-up is just a trying-hard guy without Boy Back-up. And we are just a piece of junk without Jesus Christ. For He picked all of us from the heap and He made us stand-out when He gives us purpose. How He did that? He shed His life through the cross for all of us.

We stand out not because of who we are and what we have done, it is because of what Jesus Christ had done and because of who He is.

About Kevin Reyes

Once a piece of thrash that was always being ridiculed, getting fooled, always getting bullied. But when God found me on that condition, he gave me a new life, a new direction, a new purpose. And I'd like to share my walk and my testimonies to all of you so that you might experience also God's love.
