Jeremiah 29:11 – PROMISES REVEALED
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
– Jeremiah 29:11
First, plans to prosper. God wants us to be prosperous, remember that. Who among you here wants to be poor all the days of your life? Have you ever heard this line, “Mahirap ang lolo ko, mahirap din ang tatay ko, mamamatay din akong mahirap.” Well, that’s not a part of God’s promise in your life. WAKE UP! God wants to bless you and your family.
Second, “not to harm you.” In other words, SECURITY. This day, most of the people are finding their security. What are the things that they are looking? Money, fame, achievements, relationships, etc. People think that if they have those things in their life, they are already secured. BUT, what if those money was taken from you, your fame and achievements lost, you had a break-up with your boyfriend/girlfriend? What now? But here’s God’s promise: As long as you are secured with God, even those things were taken away from you, you are confident that He will give the best in your life!
Lastly, hope and future. In our modern world, we always experience a lot of hardships. And because of so many trials that we are in, it’s so easy to give up. But, our God is our hope. Keep your hope in Him, and you will be confident that He will give you the best future in your life.
Have you ever heard this line, “Promises are made to be broken.” But when it comes to God, all of His promises are made to be fulfilled. God is true to His words, whatever He said, He will do. As you read this, it’s time to take hold this promise in your life. And most especially, hold on to the promise-giver. The best proof that God is true to His word: Look back to the cross, where His Son Jesus died for us and on the third day, He rose up. Let God take over your life and accept Jesus in your life, and you will enjoy the promises of God in your life.
