Who Is More Powerful?

Few days ago, I read some notes on Facebook pertaining about the game DOTA as a satanic game. (DISCLAIMER: I’m not playing DOTA and I even don’t know how to play it)  I read some explanations to prove it, and I read there a testimony of a player who got attacked spiritually by the characters of that game.

But this is the time to break some mindsets. Time to break some walls. First, read this verse:

“Everything is permissible”–but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible”–but not everything is constructive.

– 1 Corinthians 10:23

What this verse all about? Simple, you can play that game, but just like in everything, in moderation. Wise living is what we need.

And here’s the true bottom line: JESUS IS MORE POWERFUL THAN SATAN! Proof? By just speaking, Jesus drove out all the minions of Satan. And what’s the greatest proof that Jesus is more powerful than Satan? At the cross, where Jesus was crucified for our sins. And through the cross, He destroyed the power of sin, curse, and death that Satan was holding before. At the death and resurrection of Christ, Satan is now powerless, he’s already defeated.

If you have Jesus Christ in your heart, where your true security comes, DOTA is just a simple game and through the name of Jesus, Satan can’t touch you. Even though he try, he will never have a chance because of the power of Jesus.

Just like what a campus minister said, just have security in Jesus, case closed.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

– John 10:10
