Will God Be Enough?
When there are blessings in your life coming: New gadgets, vacation escapade, qualified for scholarship, allowance increased, and so many others, it’s so easy to praise God. But what if those gadgets are gone, your scholarship removed, your grades failed, no allowance, you can’t enroll for this semester, member of your family is sick, no food to eat, as in everything you had gone, is it easy to still praise God?
If you had experienced those, you are still blessed compare to what happened to Job. All his properties and his sons and daughters were all gone in just one day, plus boils covered his whole body. But what Job sustained him? He never quits to hold on to God.
But here’s my true point, yes there will be times that God will take away something in our life. One thing that He wants to see to all of us: Will you keep on trusting Him? Yes it is hard to hold on and it is hard to still praise and glorify God when those things come in our life, but by the grace of God, it will be easy for all of us. When you don’t understand, cry out to him, ask questions but don’t quit! When it takes too long, stand in your ground and keep on waiting. And when those bad things happen in your life, pray and worship Him.
Why it is so easy for me to say this to all of you? Because I am a living testimony in the faithfulness of God in my life. We are experiencing financial difficulties and I was stopped once again in my studies, but what sustained me is the overflowing grace of God. And that’s why I’m still here, still serving and worshiping God.
If you are in the situation where God doesn’t make sense, cry out, stand still, and just continue to worship Him.
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.
