Nothingness = Overflow
Sounds awkward right? How can emptiness means overflow? Am I drunk or what? First, I’m not drunk (I’m no longer drinking alcohol); second, the Word of God told us about it.
I’d like to share this verse to all of you:
Peter said to him, “We have left all we had to follow you!”
“Truly I tell you,” Jesus said to them, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age, and in the age to come eternal life.”
– Luke 18:28-30
When we give our lives to God, it means that everything in us we must surrender it. I’m not saying even your properties, your family or your friends, what God’s saying is we must give up our life to him. Why our life? Since our life were full of unclean stuffs with the name of SIN and some false mindsets or attitudes, we must get rid of these stuffs when we decided to follow God. When those things were wiped out, we are now empty. And now we are empty, it is now God’s Spirit will take over in our lives. It is now God who is living in our lives; and when that happen, we will experience the overflow of God’s grace in our lives.
Want to experience the overflow of God? We must surrender our lives to Him, empty ourselves from everything, accept what Jesus Christ did on the cross for you, and you will experience the amazing grace of God overflowing in your life.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.
– Luke 9:24
