Restoration 101

Have you ever in a place where you felt that all is lost? You felt that there is no hope? Because of your single action, everything changed. And those changes is not what you’ve expected. And you are praying that your life has an “undo” function. But that’s impossible, because what’s done is done and you cannot undo it anymore.

Don’t give up! Life goes on. The sun soon be shining. As the sunrise come to your life, flowers in the fields will spring up, and the birds start flying. At the end of your winter, there’s always a spring coming. Spring in your life also means RESTORATION.

God has restored his people before even though they sin against him many times. From the land flowing with milk and honey to exile, to their return to their land, God restored then completely because of his unfailing love for his people. As we see to the Old Testament, when Israel sinned against the Lord, there’s always an army from other land came to conquer them and brought them in exile. After the exile, God promised them their return to the Land of Israel and he will restore their former riches and glory.

Our life was like that, sometimes we need a “foreign army” just to correct us. Yes it really hurts sometimes when we are being corrected by God. But that’s necessary. But God will promise us restoration. God will restore our studies, our relationship with friends, family, and all others.

The same thing with all of us; before it was like a roll-up door slammed shut, now it’s like a masterpiece that was restored to its former glory. God restored his people, he restored my heart, he restored the relationship with my friends,  God can do it also to your life. God has done it before, he can do it today, tomorrow, and as we are living. (Hebrews 13:8)

“This is what the LORD says: “‘I will restore the fortunes of Jacob’s tents and have compassion on his dwellings; the city will be rebuilt on her ruins, and the palace will stand in its proper place.”

– Jeremiah 30:18
