Am I Still Worthy?

There are times we are failing. Failed our parents, failed our studies, failed our friends, etc. As we failed them, we feel so ashamed of our self to the point that we do not want to live anymore. That’s one of the reasons why there is a high suicide rate in Japan and other countries.

But, have you ever think of this: WHAT IF WE FAIL GOD?

I tell you this today, we already failed God. How? Because of sin.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

– Romans 3:23

Yes, by our sins, that the reason we fail God. But here’s the Good News: God is not like the “High expectations Asian Dad” meme that I’ve posted in this article, because as you failed Him, He is waiting for you to come back to Him. God wants you to go home and He will accept you no matter what (Read Luke 15:11-31 – The Parable of the Lost Son). Because our God is a merciful God. Yes we are all deserve to go to hell (Romans 6:23), but because of His unfailing love for us, He sent His Son for us not to experience hell.

What if we still fail God even though we already accepted Jesus?

Here’s another Good News. Yes we still fail God even though we already accepted Jesus doesn’t mean we will be kicked-out to the Kingdom of God. Just repent to God for your sins and God’s hands is ready to raise you up again.

Are we still worthy? Yes, by means of repentance. Accept the reality that we are all wrong and God is right, return to Him. And you will again experience His presence and His love.

So Samuel said to all the Israelites, “If you are returning to the LORD with all your hearts, then rid yourselves of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths and commit yourselves to the LORD and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.”

– 1 Samuel 7:3

Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

– Isaiah 55:7

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

– Acts 3:19
