Distractions, Distractions

We have a lot of happenings in our life. Sometimes, it’s all the good ones, and sometimes, the bad. And as those things came in our life, we don’t know what to do. Sometimes, we intend to ignore, and yet it still overpower us.

When people got overpowered by the things surrounding them to be specific, there’s a lot of mixed reactions. Some people are just ignoring them and go with the flow. But others are became so distracted by those things. And the result: Stress.

I’d like to share a Scripture to all of you, and I hope God will speak to you:

As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”

“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things,  but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

– Luke 10:38-42

God is calling you now (A double call). God is telling you right now that do not be overpowered by the things surrounding you. A lot of things from Him may lose if you intend to focus on the things in front of you. God is giving you a bigger picture of His promises, if you were distracted, how can you see those?

If you are in this point in your life, focus on Jesus, surrender those things that distracts you, and seek Him. No more busy times, for every moment is an opportunity to seek God, and every moment is an opportunity for us to receive revelations from Him.

When you are being distracted by the things around you, “U-turn” back to God, and fill yourself with His Holy Fire.

Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.

– Psalm 62:8
