Don't Miss a Moment
In the first part of the series, it tackled about the encounter of Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch.
All of us want to be used by God. But sometimes, we have a lot of excuses for us not to do His will. most especially when it comes on sharing the Gospel to your friends, classmates, and even to your family. We always saying to God, “Lord, dyahe naman eh! For sure, i-insultuhin lang ako ng mga classmates ko kapag shineran ko sila ng Gospel.”, and a lot of other excuses.
Let us look back on the encounter between Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch. Prior to the encounter…
Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.”
– Acts 8:26
As he was on the road, he met an Ethiopian eunuch came from Jerusalem, and the Spirit told him to go near the chariot (Acts 8:27-29). And during that brief encounter, he shared the Good News about Jesus Christ to the eunuch (Acts 8:30-34). After that, the eunuch ordered to stop the caravan in an oasis for him to be baptized (Acts 8:36-38). What’s the result, the eunuch went home full of joy (Acts 8:39).
What does Philip wanted to say to us?
Even you are an ordinary person here, you can make an extraordinary impact to others by sharing the Gospel. no matter what your past is (Philip and the other apostles didn’t have any formal education), but look on their impact. Because of them, the first church was established.
And the most important thing he did is this, he grabbed the opportunity to share the Gospel to the eunuch. He just followed the chariot and that’s it. What’s the connection of his actions to us sharing the Gospel? EVERY MOMENT IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE THE GOSPEL. You do not need to be a pastor or an expert of theology for you to share the Gospel, a single encounter with God is enough. And the good thing here is this, because of that, YOU CAN BE A VITAL LINK TO OTHERS WHO WANT TO KNOW GOD.
Grab every moment to share the Gospel to your classmates, friends, and to your family members. Do not be afraid on what they will say and will do to you, for God will give you the power to overcome those. To those FB addicts like me, use your Facebook to share the Gospel. Don’t miss a moment, maybe tomorrow is too late.
Yes we ‘re just an ordinary person, but an ordinary person like us can make an extraordinary difference.
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
