How Valuable Are You?

Some people do not know how valuable they are. Maybe one of the reasons is on how the people around value them. If those people are saying “Wala kang kwenta!“, a total shut-off will occur. As a result, they will going to find something or somebody just for them to be valued. And here are some of those things:

  • Friends – Yes, there’s nothing bad about making friends; but the issue here is some people do not select their friends properly. And the result, their lives gone astray because they think that just because they have “friends”, they are valuable already.
  • Honor/achievements – What’s new about this item? People think that they will found how valuable are they when they have a title (For example: Engr. Dr. Arch. Atty. Kevin Jan Reyes, Ph. D, MD, RN, CPA)
  • Relationships – Or to be specific, wrong relationships. A lot of teenagers are falling in this category. And because they don’t know how valuable are they, some of the girls are surrendering their “everything” with just a single flirting.

Once again, here’s another Good News. I tell you this as you read this post, YOU ARE VALUABLE! Yes, you are valuable. How do I say so? I’d like to share to you the Parables of the hidden treasure and the pearl:

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls.  When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.”

– Matthew 13:43-46

Who is the treasure and the pearl? And who is the man? The treasure and the pearl are all of us. And, guess what, who’s the man? The man is God.

And what He paid for us? We were bought by the BLOOD OF JESUS.

See? That’s how valuable you are. Why find something or someone just to prove you yourself that you are valuable? Before you were born, you already bought by God through the blood of Jesus, who died for all of us.

For this is what the LORD Almighty says: “After the Glorious One has sent me against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye

– Zechariah 2:8

Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.

– Acts 20:28
