All of us made a lot of mistakes in the past. Maybe it’s a sin, or something inappropriate stuffs that you have done. Even me, I’ve done so many mistakes before and they were too many to enumerate. And when we give up our life to God, we are now a new creation.

As we were being “born-again”, the devil will not be sitting back out there watching us claiming the promises of God. Instead, he will do something for us not to get it. One of his schemes is to remind you the things that you have done before. I remember when we had our outing together with other youth leaders in our church few days ago, we saw two couples in the pool doing some inappropriate stuffs. And all of us got irritated on that scene. As we were being irritated, the devil was trolling me. He told me, “Diba ganyan ka rin dati?

But here’s the Good News: Whatever reminders from the devil about your past, GOD ALREADY NULLIFIED IT! Since you have given your life to God, He also gave you a new life, a new heart, and a new beginning, free from your past mistakes. Whatever sins you have made before, even though it’s terrible, God doesn’t care because He will restore you.

And during that moment, as the devil trolled me, one thing that I’ve said to him: “SO WHAT?” God also given us the power to say NO to the schemes of the enemy. Whatever schemes from the enemy will be upon you, you now have the power against all of those, through Jesus Christ.

Next time the enemy reminds you about your past, tell him that God restored you and he already nullified those in your life. Your past is now NULL AND VOID.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

– 2 Corinthians 5:17
