"If you can"?!
Have you ever prayed like this:
Lord, kung kaya niyo lang, I pray na mabayaran na yung tuition ko. Pero kung hindi niyo kaya, okay lang. IN JESUS’ NAME, AMEN.
And then, when the thing that we were praying don’t come, sometimes we intend to blame God. Many years ago, that’s my way also to pray.
Why sometimes we pray like that?
In my 4 years of walk with God, I realize that the reason sometimes why we never receive what we were praying is DOUBT. Yes folks, doubt. And one of the sign when doubt enters our heart is we always have a “Plan B”. It occurs when we were waiting for the answer to our prayers, we grow so weary, we become so impatient. As the result of impatient, we start to compromise everything just for us to receive what we were praying for. One of the best example here is when Abraham became impatient to receive God’s promise of giving him a son through Sarah, he slept with Hagar and bore her a son named Ishmael (Genesis 16:1-15).
Doubt is the reason why we do not receive the breakthrough that we were waiting for. And sometimes, doubt will result to unbelief.
Guys, this is the time to wake up! God has been performed so many miracles from the past up to this day. He made the impossible possible: Turning the waters of Egypt to blood, parting of the Red Sea, bringing the death to life, and so many others. The creation of the whole universe is already a miracle. Why? Astronomers said, just a single misplacement of any single body, the whole universe will mess-up. And the greatest miracle of all? The forgiveness of sins through Jesus who died on the cross and after three days, He rose from the dead.
God has done the most impossible, so all our prayers are just a piece of cake to God. Why doubt about His power? He had done so many miracles before, up to this day, He can still make miracles. And by faith, He will made the impossible possible.
“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

And let this verse be our prayer:
Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

One last verse:
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
