"It's all about me…" REALLY?!??!!!??!

I remember a YouTube video that shows a bogus TV shopping item that offers a Praise and Worship VCD. But, instead of praising and worshiping God, it’s all about himself.

You don’t believe it? Well, here’s the video:

Yeah, the video is funny, but when in our own we are like that, it’s not funny. I do not mean like that egocentric worship leader on the video praising and worshiping himself literally, the issue here is PRIDE.

Yes, PRIDE. Just take a closer look, what took that man to worship himself? Simple: PRIDE.

What does pride means? Here’s the simple meaning: Pride comes when you are very full of yourself. When the time comes that you’ve forget God and starting to look at yourself with great honor, that’s the time when pride will consume you.

What are the signs that you are already being consumed by pride*:

  1. Neglecting the Bible and Prayer
  2. Inability To Admit You Are Wrong
  3. Not Submitting To Authority
  4. Know-it-all Attitude
  5. Not Acting On God’s Word
  6. Criticizing Others
  7. Thinking You Are Better Than Others
  8. Being Overly Busy

When you have that symptoms, WATCH OUT! If you have that in your heart, you will not receive what God has for you (James 4:6). Also, pride is from the Devil (Isaiah 14:12-17). If you have pride, well, trouble is coming unto you (Proverbs 16:18-19, 29:23).

You really want to have God in your life? Simple, be humble. Only through that, you can fully submit to God.

I tell you this today, without God, we are just a piece of thrash. So, why be so proud? All we have today and in the future is from God. And here’s the thing that you cannot boast, God has saved you from the eternal punishment through His Son, Jesus.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.

–  Ephesians 2:8-9
