Every Nation | Every Campus

The Youth of today are the most adventurous people. We love to discover new things that we might enjoy on the long run. When I met God last 2007, I saw the fire of other Youth for God and to others that don’t know God. And I think to myself: “What is wrong?”

You know what, as I progress to my walk with God, I’ve found out why and I’m very disturbed on what I’ve found. I listened to Ptr. Robert Hern’s preaching about reaching the campus, and by that, I’ve got this statistics. Some of the data are disturbing. But Ptr. Robert said that it will help to open your heart for our Youth today.

As of 2009:

We have 21,000,000 Youth here in the Philippines

  • 50% (10.5M) of that are SMOKERS
  • 2.7M are in PRISON
  • 4.7M that are DRUNK
  • 30% (6.3M) are under the influence of DRUGS
  • 1.7M are PUSHERS
  • 78% (15.5M) have seen PORNOGRAPHIC MATERIALS
  • We have the highest percentage of TEENAGE PREGNANCY in Asia
  • 1.7M are being RAPED
  • 28% (5.8M) of men preferred to be a woman
  • 30% (6.3M) of women preferred to be a man
  • 49% says that there’s no way to tell which religion is true
  • 83% (17.4M) believed that the truth is relative

When I’ve learned about this, I felt that God has deposited a seed in my heart. And that seed is to reach out the Youth of this generation. I tell you today: WAKE UP! This is the time to change these statistics. How? I have a question: Where you can see those Youth? Answer: They were in the CAMPUS.

As a campus leader, I am involved to change the statistics. I am calling all the campus leaders to join the movement to change this world – a world that will honor God. I am calling not just the campus leaders, I’M CALLING ALL OF YOU TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR OUR YOUTH.

It will going to start on us first. Then, we can reach our classmates. After that, the whole campus. And then, the whole community, the city, this nation, AND THE WHOLE WORLD.
